It makes me sad that we don't have more friends in our town who are as into the election as we are. I would have loved to have an Election Night party, with themed snacks and drinks and games. (Just f.y.i, we would have played Election Commentary Bingo and Guess Who Will Win Each State.) But party or no party, I've loved watching this historic campaign, culminating tonight in this historic election. And I loved being at Obama's rally in Springfield back in August when he first introduced Joe Biden as his running mate. It was insanely hot, and we had no water or shade, and I almost got sick and passed out, but I'm so glad we went there.
There's my only picture of Obama from that day, and he's so tiny. And that blonde lady kept getting in the way. But we there, and we saw him. And . . .not to count my chickens, or put the cart ahead of the horse, or any number of expressions meaning to be cocky or make assumptions . . . he's going to be our next President!!(And on a much less exciting and influential note, I tried soy milk last night (food I thought I didn't like) and I actually LOVED it. Now my bones will love me too, after years of depriving them of the milk and cheese they wanted. I just hope I don't get osteoporosis! Eek!)
Hopefully, in the next post I write, I can refer to President-Elect Obama!

You are on a roll too! I think it is so neat you got to go to a rally!
